🚨 Team Bliss pens deal to acquire a LCO slot 🚨
Team Bliss set to join League of Legends Circuit Oceania
MELBOURNE — Oceanic League of Legends has a storied history.
Its fair share of titans, the rise and fall of contenders, and flat-out wildcards.
In 2023 Team Bliss is locked in, and will etch their name alongside the region’s best teams on Summoner’s Rift in the LCO.
The agreement comes into effect November 1, 2022 — Team Bliss has acquired the slot of Gravitas in the LCO.
A large contingent of Team Bliss will be at DreamHack Melbourne over the weekend, keenly watching the LCO Grand Finals between the Chiefs and the lower bracket victor between ORDER and Pentanet.GG.
"Team Bliss are incredibly excited to be stepping into the LCO as a new contender. We hope to play a part in continuing to build off the foundation set in place by Gravitas and everyone involved in the LCO who have made it the premier esport league in Oceania." — Brendan “brendypls” Harms, Chief Operating Officer of Team Bliss
Sean Callanan, owner of Sports Geek and Gravitas reflected upon coming to terms on the agreement, "I've been impressed by Team Bliss in our discussions about their entry into the LCO.”
"Team Bliss will be a great addition to the LCO family. They will help build upon the upward trajectory the LCO and team owners have been working on over the past two years which I have been grateful to be a part of as Gravitas."
While the year isn’t over yet, "Bliss have had an incredible year of growth as we continue to find our direction as a sustainable esports organisation in Oceania”, Brendan states.
Bliss’ COO continues, “at its heart, we are just a group of friends who want to keep doing new and fun things and building a collective dream — joining the LCO is the biggest step in that direction so far.”
“It's so exciting and terrifying at the same time”, he concludes.
After Worlds 2022 wraps up and pro contracts expire, Bliss will be busy preparing during the off-season to field a competitive roster for our debut split in League of Legends.
