Team Bliss Esports acquire The Chiefs Esports Club to create ANZ powerhouse

🚨 Team Bliss pens deal to acquire Chiefs Esports Club in historic move🚨

Australian based esports icon, The Chiefs Esports Club, has been acquired by emerging titan Team Bliss Esports in a move that combines resources to lead ANZ esports into its next chapter.

Speaking on the acquisition, Brendan Harms, COO of Team Bliss said “We couldn’t be more excited about what this means for the future of Oceanic esports. By pooling the resources of two top tier organisations, we are able to focus on having a bigger impact on the international stage and give Oceanic esports fans a powerhouse to really get behind.”

Harms continued, “In my mind the management team behind Chiefs are the best in the game, so to be able to work with them to create something ultimately beneficial for the entire industry in OCE is a dream come true.”

Head of The Chiefs Brand, Aiden Hiko said “We have always had the utmost respect for Bliss and their passion and drive, to now work alongside them to grow this little thing we all love so much is an incredible opportunity. It can only mean further success for our region.”

Hiko continued “We still have work to do, consider this under construction. We have a huge task ahead to get this rolling smoothly but with this team I believe we can lead ANZ esports into an incredibly bright future.”

The Chiefs and Bliss Esports have built this relationship over the past 12 months, collaborating on efforts with the recent Logitech G Pro X2 launch.

There have been no decisions made regarding titles, or teams. Over the coming months management across both parties will be planning out what the future looks like. As part of this deal, Australian esports industry veteran Chris Smith will sit as an advisor in assisting with a smooth transition. Team Bliss also retained Mat Jessep of Game Legal to assist in the facilitation of the historic Oceanic merger. Game Legal played a large role in making this transition possible, and providing a clean slate for the combined team. In addition, ICON CEO Nick Bobir has stepped down from his role, and has decided on a new path to assist the growth of Australian esports which will be announced in October.
